Team Performance
Team Performance gives you a clear picture of how each person on your team is doing across the operational metrics that matter. It answers the question every office manager asks: is my team following the procedures we have in place?
The performance dashboard
Navigate to Team Performance in the sidebar to see your team-wide analytics. The dashboard includes:
- Bar chart -- A visual breakdown of performance by metric category so you can see at a glance where your team is strong and where there are gaps.
- Pie chart -- How your team is distributed across performance tiers. Ideally, most of your team lands in the top tiers.
- Individual scorecards -- Click on any team member to drill into their detailed metrics.
What gets measured
Team performance is measured across four categories. Each category contributes to an overall performance score.
| Category | What it tracks |
|---|---|
| Tasks | On-time task completion rate. Are team members finishing their assigned work on schedule? |
| Acknowledgements | SOP acknowledgement compliance rate. Are team members reviewing and acknowledging SOPs when they are published or updated? |
| Quality | Adherence to SOP standards. Are procedures being followed correctly? |
| Engagement | Overall participation and activity level in SOPHIE. Active team members who engage with the platform tend to perform better. |
Performance tiers
Team members are placed into tiers based on their overall score:
| Tier | What it means |
|---|---|
| A | Exceeding expectations across all categories. Your strongest performers. |
| B | Meeting expectations consistently. Solid, reliable team members. |
| C | Below expectations in one or more areas. May need coaching or additional training. |
| D | Needs significant improvement. Time for a direct conversation and a plan. |
Individual scorecards
Click on any team member to see their individual scorecard. It includes:
- Scores for each metric category
- Trend data over time (improving, steady, or declining)
- Comparison to team averages
- Their position in the management hierarchy, with the ability to view their direct reports' performance if they manage others
Sorting and filtering
The team list can be sorted by name, overall score, or any individual metric category. Filter by department or role to focus on a specific group. If you manage a large team, the department filter is especially useful for reviewing one area at a time.
How to use performance data
Performance analytics are most valuable when you act on them:
- Spot training needs. If a team member scores low on acknowledgements, they may need a reminder about the importance of reviewing updated SOPs -- or they may be overwhelmed and need support.
- Recognize strong performers. Use the data in team meetings or one-on-ones to acknowledge people who are consistently meeting or exceeding expectations.
- Track the impact of changes. After rolling out new SOPs or reorganizing departments, watch the performance data over the following weeks to see how the team adapts.
- Inform quarterly planning. If team-wide scores are low in a particular category, consider creating a Quarterly Play focused on improving that area.
