Integrations Overview
SOPHIE works best when she can see what your practice already uses: your practice management system for the Scoreboard, Slack for notifications, your documents for writing Standards, and your meeting transcripts for catching what was decided. This page shows what can be connected and where each connection lives.
Two kinds of connection
Some connections belong to the practice and some belong to you.
| Connection | Belongs to | Where to find it | What it's for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Practice management system (Oryx, Open Dental) | The practice, or one office | Settings › Integrations, or an office's Integrations | Fills in the Scoreboard and Patient Journey with your real numbers every night. |
| Slack | The practice, or one office | Settings › Integrations, or an office's Integrations | Posts new and changed Standards and new FIX List items to a channel. |
| Google (Drive, Calendar, Meet) | You | Settings › Connections | Brings documents into Standards, follows meetings on your calendar, reads Meet transcripts. |
| Microsoft 365 (OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook Calendar, Teams) | You | Settings › Connections | The same, for Microsoft accounts. |
| Fathom | You | Settings › Connections | Sends SOPHIE your meeting transcripts. |
| Loom | The practice | Added from the Standard editor | Embeds training videos in Standards. See below. |
Practice connections are shared by everyone. Personal connections are yours alone: two people in one practice each connect their own Google account and see their own files.
Practice integrations
Open Settings and choose Integrations under Workspace. The page lists Slack and Practice management, each with a one-line status, for example Oryx · last synced 3 hr ago. Connected items appear under Yours and the rest under Available. Choose one to open it.
You need permission to Edit workspace settings to see and change this page.
Per office
Each office (space) has its own Integrations page: in Settings, under Space settings, open the office and choose Integrations. It says at the top that changes there only affect that office, and that anything set to Same as the practice follows Workspace › Integrations. Here an office can:
- use the practice's practice management connection or its own,
- post to the practice's Slack channel, a channel of its own, or not at all.
The office page also shows Google Drive ("Each author connects their own", with Open Connections) and Loom's status, so you can see at a glance what's available there.
People with permission to Edit space settings for an office can change that office's integrations even if they can't change the practice's. They see it in Settings as office · Integrations.
Your own connections
Open Settings and choose Connections under My account, or choose Manage connectors from the attach menu in the Ask SOPHIE chat or the Standard editor. See Your connections.
Loom
You can add Loom videos to Standards so your team can watch a procedure instead of only reading it. Paste a Loom link into the Standard editor, or attach one from the Loom option in the attach menu, which lets you pick from your practice's Loom library or grab one from Loom. A video must be shared as "anyone with the link can view" for your team to watch it inside SOPHIE.
Managers can also add videos to the practice's library from the classic Integrations settings page (open your profile menu, choose Profile, then Integrations) with Add Loom videos. See Editing a Standard.
Good to know
- If an integration doesn't appear, it isn't available for your practice yet.
- SOPHIE only reads from the systems you connect. She never writes to your practice management system, never changes your files, and never records meetings.
- Removing a connection never removes what SOPHIE already collected or the files you already added to a Standard.
