Scorecard
The Scorecard module tracks your practice's key performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly basis, giving you visibility into trends and helping you make data-driven decisions.
Scorecard definition
Before tracking data, define the metrics you want to measure. Navigate to Practice OS > Scorecard and set up your scorecard:
Creating metrics
For each metric, configure:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Metric name | What you're measuring (e.g., "New Patients", "Production") |
| Unit of measure | The unit (e.g., count, dollars, percentage) |
| Target value | Your weekly goal for this metric |
| Data entry method | Manual entry or formula-based calculation |
Example metrics for dental practices
- New patients per week
- Weekly production ($)
- Collection rate (%)
- Case acceptance rate (%)
- Hygiene reappointment rate (%)
- Patient no-show rate (%)
- Average treatment plan value
Weekly entries
Each week, log your actual performance against each metric:
- Navigate to Practice OS > Scorecard.
- Select the current week.
- Enter actual values for each metric.
- SOPHIE tracks whether you hit, exceeded, or missed your target.
The data entry grid allows you to view and enter data across multiple weeks, quarters, and years.
Trends and analysis
Over time, SOPHIE builds a historical view of your scorecard data showing:
- Week-over-week trends
- Quarterly averages
- Year-over-year comparisons
- Metrics that are consistently above or below target
CSV import
If you have historical scorecard data from another system (spreadsheet, practice management software, etc.), you can import it via CSV:
- Click Import on the Scorecard page.
- Upload a CSV file with your historical data.
- Map columns to your scorecard metrics.
- SOPHIE imports the data into the correct weekly periods.
This is especially useful during initial setup to bring in historical context.
