SOPHIE AI
SOPHIE includes an AI assistant powered by OpenAI that helps your practice create SOPs, analyze operations, and surface insights.
Enabling AI
AI features are controlled at the workspace level. A workspace administrator can enable or disable AI from Settings > AI Settings.
When AI is disabled, the SOPHIE AI page shows instructions on how to enable it. All AI-dependent features (SOP generation, gap analysis, action items) are hidden until enabled.
AI chat
Navigate to SOPHIE AI in the sidebar to open the conversational AI assistant. You can:
- Ask questions about your SOPs and practice operations
- Get recommendations for improving procedures
- Request help drafting new SOP content
- Ask for best practices in dental operations
The AI has context about your workspace's SOPs and organizational structure, allowing it to provide relevant, tailored responses.

AI capabilities are integrated throughout the platform:

AI feedback
SOPHIE collects feedback on AI-generated content to improve quality over time. When AI generates content, you can rate the output to help calibrate future suggestions.
